Bridge Upgrades Kingston and Renmark-Paringa Areas

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) is upgrading a number of regional bridges in the Kingston and Renmark-Paringa districts. Works are scheduled to commence from 7 January, 2019 and are expected to be completed by late July, 2019.

Cooking with solid fuel fires on total fire ban days

The District Council of Loxton Waikerie will not be issuing any Schedule 10 Fire permits for the purpose of cooking with solid fuel fires in the event that Christmas Day or any other day is declared a Total Fire Ban. This will include charcoal BBQ’s, Weber’s, Spit’s etc. The use of electric and gas BBQ’s and weber’s are permitted as long as they are within 15m of a domestic premises and someone is in attendance at all times with water and a fire extinguisher available.
