2020-21 Community Support Funding Applications
The community is invited to submit requests for community support funding (for example chambers of commerce and community clubs, service clubs amongst others) and community events to be considered as part of Council’s 2020-21 budget process.
Each year various organisations and community members seek financial and other support from Council which can be difficult to manage if they are received after the budget has been set, or where they do not provide sufficient information to allow Council to adequately prioritise all requests.
The opportunity exists for clubs and community groups to lodge "budget applications" for support and event funding for consideration by Council as it prepares for the new financial year.
The community support application form is available on Council’s website and offices in Loxton and Waikerie. Council encourages organisations intending to seek financial support from Council to complete the community support application form as it is a guide for decision making. The process seeks information as to the financial support sought, and a demonstration of:
- how the group/event will further the aims contained in Council’s Strategic Plan
- expected achievements if the group/event is supported.
Council does not have the financial capacity to fund all budget applications however aims to provide an opportunity for the community to submit requests for consideration through a fair and transparent process by Council.
