Technical / Geographical Information Systems Officer
Council is seeking applications from highly motivated and enthusiastic people to join the infrastructure team to take our spatial data and GIS into the future.

Key duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Manage and maintain Council’s GIS system to ensure the accuracy, currency, consistency and effectiveness of spatial information throughout the organisation
- Undertake survey, design and produce complex non-standard maps, plans, queries and reports
- Develop and manage reliable spatial web services/Application Programming Interfaces to support Council’s objectives and spatial data requirements
- Develop and manage complex GIS/Web applications
- Provide property information services to Council
Required qualifications, skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and/or relevant proven experience in a similar role
- Tertiary qualification in Surveying or a related field
- Proven background in GIS administration using ESRI suite of applications or similar
- Proficiency in the use of survey equipment and relevant software e.g. Trimble Business Centre, ESRI ArcGIS Pro, AutoCAD, Civil 3D or Map Info
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to communicate with various teams across all organisational levels and roles.
- Current South Australian drivers licence class C and willingness to travel to project sites as required

Remuneration for this position will be paid under the South Australian Municipal Salaried Officers Award and Loxton Waikerie Council’s Enterprise Agreement – Level 3 or 4 dependent on qualifications and experience.
