Loxton's Recreation Complex will soon be known by a new name after Council undertook an expression of interest to seek naming suggestions.
Council recently undertook an expression of interest to name the Loxton Recreation Complex.

Together with the Community Awards Assessment Panel, Council is excited to announce that the Loxton Recreation Complex will now have a new name thanks to former Loxton High School student Emerson Fielke, who was successful with her submission of “The Precinct – Loxton”.

Council wishes to thank all those who submitted names and ideas to name the Loxton Recreation Complex, the submissions received were wide and varied which provided an extensive choice for both the Community Awards Assessment Panel and Council. The submission chosen was “The Precinct – Loxton” with Council endorsing a revised option of “The Precinct – #loxtonsa”.

The next step for Council is obtaining designs and costings on the logo structure to officially complete the naming of the complex which is expected to be in early to mid 2021.

“It was important that the complex and outdoor area has a name and brand that reflects the aspirations of the community and enhances all of the facilities for local clubs and individuals to benefit and serve the growing community for years to come; encouraging more people to get active and enjoy the sport they love.” Mayor Stasinowsky said.
