There are a range of commercial transport options available in the Riverland, the list below is provided for information only and is subject to change.

Costs, routes, vehicle types and timetables vary extensively amongst service providers.

You may need to consider utilising multiple service providers to fully complete your trip.

Red Cross Transport Service

About the Service

Red Cross provides a door to door transport service to assist you to attend non-urgent medical appointments and social outings if you have no other transport options. A Red Cross volunteer driver will collect you from your home and drive you to your appointment.

Eligibility Requirements
  • 65+ or 50+ for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
  • Require referral from My Aged Scare
  • Living independently in your own home, however this does include those living in independent living units such as a lifestyle village

or

  • Under the age of 65, or 50 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
  • Experience transport disadvantage which means they are unable to access public transport due to distance, mobility and/or availability of services

Taxi Subsidy Scheme

About the Service

To apply for taxi fare subsidy scheme

People with permanent and severe disabilities that limit their ability to use public transport may apply for subsidised taxi fares:

75 per cent subsidy for people who are confined to a wheelchair

50 per cent subsidy for people who are not confined to a wheelchair.

Bus Services

Eastern Riverland Public Transport Service

A four weekday morning route between Loxton-Berri-Renmark and corresponding afternoon Renmark-Berri-Loxton service. One day a week this service changes to Loxton-Moorook-Bermera-Berri.

Premier Stateliner

A twice-daily Renmark/Adelaide service is available, stopping at many Riverland towns. There is also a daily link from Loxton to the Adelaide service, departing in the morning and returning in the evening.
