River Fringe Returns Full Force in 2025

Published 24th January 2025
The Riverland is set to come alive this summer with the exciting return of River Fringe 2025, bringing a vibrant collection of arts, entertainment, and cultural experiences to the region.

As part of the ongoing efforts to showcase the creative spirit of the Riverland and attract visitors to the area, the River Fringe festival will run from 21 February to 23 March, featuring an impressive line-up of events across Loxton, Waikerie, and surrounding areas.

The festival will celebrate both local and regional talent with a mix of performances, workshops, exhibitions, and interactive activities for all ages. Highlights include a family-friendly art exhibition showcasing the work of junior artists, as well as hands-on workshops such as vintage butterfly shadow box creation, mandala design, and polymer clay trinket-making for kids.

For those seeking a more immersive experience, there will be creative sessions like tarot card-making, glass painting, and even a riverboat cruise combined with a cliff painting workshop. Music lovers will enjoy lively performances, featuring multiple shows by the Pulse Band in tribute to music legends, a concert for kids, and a special night under lights at the Bugle Hut.

The event guide also includes a number of free activities, all designed to get the community involved in the creative process. For those looking to take in some local culture, don’t miss the art exhibition at the Loxton Historical Village or the lively Riverfront Fringe Market in Waikerie, which will feature local crafts, food, and entertainment.

“The River Fringe continues to be an incredible platform for artists and performers from all over the region, and this year’s program is packed with something for everyone. Whether you’re an art enthusiast, a family looking for fun, or someone simply wanting to enjoy the Riverland’s unique charm, River Fringe 2025 is an event you won’t want to miss. We look forward to welcoming visitors from near and far to experience the magic of the Riverland’s creative community.”
