Yabby Net Exchange Program

Published 5th September 2024
Council is pleased to be offering a yabby net exchange program for its residents, in an effort to encourage the appropriate disposal of illegal opera-house yabby nets by providing participants with one new pyramid-style net upon exchange.

Generously supported by the Murraylands and Riverland Landscape Board, East Terrace Trading and Woody’s Variety Store, Council will have a limited supply of new pyramid-style nets to provide local residents with.

The exchange will provide residents with an opportunity to dispose of illegal nets without paying dump fees or filling up waste bins at their property.

EXCHANGE DETAILS:

  • Loxton Council Office or Waikerie Civic Centre
  • Monday 9 September - Friday 13 September (during business hours)

❗Exchanges limited to ONE new pyramid-style yabby net per household

❗Dispose of any number of opera-house nets for free

❗Residents required to bring current driver’s licence with them

Exchange on offer while stocks last, however residents can still utilise the free disposal service for yabby nets until 5pm on Friday 13 September 2024.
