Finance Officer - Accounting
Council is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to fulfil the role of Finance Officer - Accounting, based in the Loxton Office.
Working within the Finance Department, the officer will provide services under relevant Local Government and Australian Accounting Legislations.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Assist in the preparation of the Annual Budget and bi-monthly budget reviews and other financial related tasks
- Compilation of financial statements
- Reconcile and prepare returns for Australian Taxation office including Business Activity Statement, Fuel Tax Credit and Fringe Benefit Returns
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Commerce or Accounting and / or experience in Local Government finance will be highly regarded
Remuneration for this 0.8 position will be paid at either Level 4 ($62,252 per year) or level 5 ($67,738 per year) of the SA Municipal Salaried Officers Award (General Officer Stream) and Council’s Enterprise Agreement depending on qualifications and experience.
